REVIEWS

“Belgium has been a breeding ground for hardcore bands these last few years. One of the new bands out of that country are old school thrashers Shredder ... I do believe they are influenced by early eighties bands like Negative Approach and Heresy mixed with some Voorhees, DRI and Infest ... I am curious what this band looks like on stage and if it will be complete madness. Solid debut from this new band. 3,5/5” from Asice webzine

“Full power, overdrive thrashcore, delivered straight to your rusty bones from Shredder. And indeed the name Shredder suits the music better than anything else. Ten songs are executed within 11 minutes, the lyrics are nihilistic and aggressive and the sound reminds me of old heroes like Heresy or Ripcord, wrapped into a more up to date production. The band seems to be pretty hateful and rages about various types of assholes and a guy called Bärt Sämers in a rather “explicit” way, with more occurrences of the word “fuck” in seven songs than Bukowski uses in a whole book … I can´t help but keep pressing the repeat button after the last song has finished. Great, frustrated core for the alienated folks, that are not afraid to thrash out!” from Poisonfree.com
